— Governor Namadi Reiterates Commitment to Youth and Women Empowerment

The Jigawa State Government has trained 150 young women under the A360 Empowerment Initiative, a collaborative effort aimed at promoting self-reliance and improving the livelihoods of women across the state.

The graduation ceremony, held on Monday at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Dutse, marked a significant milestone in the state’s drive to empower women through vocational and health-based training.

Speaking at the event, Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi, represented by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to empowering youth and women. He noted that the partnership between the state government and A360 was a clear demonstration of Jigawa’s resolve to equip its citizens with sustainable skills.

“Today, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of 150 young women who have successfully completed their training under this essential initiative, in partnership with the Jigawa State Ministry of Women Affairs,” the Governor said.

Governor Namadi described the A360 Initiative as a vital platform that blends vocational skills acquisition with health education—empowering participants not only economically but also socially. He emphasized that such programs are crucial for fostering inclusive growth and ensuring long-term community development.

The event also featured the distribution of empowerment tools to the beneficiaries. According to the Governor, the state government provided 70 items, including sewing machines and food processing equipment, while A360 contributed an additional 80—bringing the total to 150 items distributed to the graduates.

Governor Namadi urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the skills and equipment provided, describing the graduation as “the beginning of a transformative journey toward self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship.”

He commended the Ministry of Women Affairs and the A360 Initiative for their sustained collaboration and dedication to improving the lives of women in Jigawa State.

The A360 Empowerment Initiative has been lauded for integrating skill development with health education, enabling young women to build sustainable livelihoods while promoting healthier communities.

The ceremony drew participants from various parts of the state, symbolizing a growing commitment to gender inclusivity, innovation, and economic empowerment in Jigawa.
