The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced a reduction in the 2026 Hajj fare, with intending pilgrims now expected to pay ₦7,669,769 instead of the previous ₦8,457,685.
This was contained in press statement signed by spokesman of the Board, Habibu Yarima issued to newsmen.
The Director General of the Commission, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, disclosed this after signing the 2026 Hajj Agreement between the Federal Government and the Holy Land Authority.
He said that a reduction of N787,916 was achieved on the aforementioned Hajj fare, as a result of the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, who is in the Holy Land to secure the accommodation of Jigawa pilgrims in Mecca, said that the commission has finalized all arrangements for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
He also said that the collection of Hajj fare for the upcoming Hajj 2026 Hajj exercise would be close next month, and urged those who have not deposits to do so in order to obtain their visas on time
He therefore commended Governor Umar Namadi for his cooperation and support to the Commission at all times.
