The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has fixed December 24 as a deadline for the payment of 2026 Hajj fare.
Director-General of the board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, disclosed in an interview with newsmen.
He urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments for Hajj seats on or before December 24, 2025
The DG said the board is working diligently to ensure successful Hajj exercise including securing the best possible accommodation and arrangements for Jigawa pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
He added that, the board also refunded more than N50 million to intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj following a recent reduction in Hajj fares announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
He explained that the refunds were issued to those who had completed their payments before NAHCON adjusted the fare.
Labbo also expressed appreciation to Governor Umar Namadi for his continuous support and commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj operations.
