Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the enduring unity between Nigeria and the Niger Republic, stating that the bonds that bring both nations together are far stronger than the issues that seek to divide them.
The Vice president stated this while speaking during the courtesy visit to Emir of Gumel during official commissioning of Juma’at Friday Mosque in Gumel.
According to him” Nigeria and Niger Republic are the same, they are related and share the same blood”
” So don’t be deceived with propaganda that Nigeria don’t hate you, you are part of us and we are part of you ”
” I have my relatives there, our Former minister of Defence have relatives, former Minister Ali Magashi and other” the Vice president said.
He noted that misunderstanding is common in every relationship but the best about it is to understand each other and solve the problem.
“I want to affirmed Nigerien that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu loved you and the country Love you, the bonds that bring both of us together are far stronger than the issues that seek to divide us” the Vice president said.
He prayed for the continues peace, Unity and stability among the two Nations.
Governor Umar Namadi commended the Vice president for the visit promising to support the Federal Government commitment for peace and stability of the country.
