Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, has said his administration will fully support local government councils that uphold transparency, ensure accountability, and implement programmes that directly benefit the people.

Governor Namadi disclosed this at the Launching of Taura Local Government council chairman Mega Empowerment held on Thursday.
He said, the chairman Hon. Shuaibu Hambali Zarga has demonstrated purposeful leadership through the introduction of an empowerment programme aimed at improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the people of Taura, saying that, the initiative aligned with the development vision of the state and federal government.
According to him, What we are seeing today aligned with our Twelve-Point Agenda initiated by this administration aimed at improving the lives of Jigawa State citizens, with special focus on youths, women, and children.”

“In line with our Twelve-Point Agenda, we are determined to create opportunities that will empower our youths and women, reduce unemployment, and promote self-reliance across the state,” the Governor stated.
Governor Namadi further announced that the Jigawa State Government will soon empower another 1,000 beneficiaries in each of the 27 local government areas through the state’s Youth Empowerment and Employment Agency.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to partner and support all local government councils that prioritize transparency, accountability, and people-oriented programmes, noting that meaningful development can only be achieved through effective collaboration between the state and local governments.
