Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, has convened a high-level meeting of key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirming the party’s unity and commending its growing strength and acceptance across the state.

The strategic meeting, held on Saturday at the Government House in Dutse, brought together a broad spectrum of elected and non-elected party leaders, underscoring the governor’s commitment to inclusive leadership and collective decision-making within the ruling party.

Among those in attendance were serving senators, members of the House of Representatives, members of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, commissioners, and other prominent APC figures. The gathering also featured notable political leaders, including former Governor Ali Sa’ad Birnin Kudu and former Deputy Governor Ibrahim Hadejia, whose presence further highlighted the depth of party cohesion in the state.

Discussions at the meeting centered on key party issues, particularly the ongoing APC membership revalidation exercise, preparations for the forthcoming party congresses, and strategies aimed at consolidating the party’s dominance and improving its performance across Jigawa State.

In his address, Governor Namadi praised party leaders and members for their steadfast commitment to unity and collective progress, describing the APC as a broad-based and inclusive platform under his leadership. He assured stakeholders that no member of the party would be marginalized as efforts continue to strengthen party structures at ward, local government, and state levels.

The governor disclosed that Jigawa State is currently ranked second nationwide in the APC membership revalidation exercise, a feat he described as commendable. He, however, challenged party stakeholders to intensify grassroots mobilization to enable the state to clinch the top position.

Governor Namadi’s leadership style received widespread commendation from participants, who noted that his emphasis on fairness, justice, and inclusivity has significantly boosted the APC’s popularity and acceptance among the people of Jigawa State.

The meeting ended with a unanimous resolution by stakeholders to work together to ensure the peaceful and successful conduct of the forthcoming party congresses, while reaffirming their collective commitment to sustaining the APC’s electoral success in the state.
