Families Call For Help As DSS Arrests Lovers In Osun Community
Uproar of tension in Modakeke, Osun State, following the alleged arrest of two lovers, Nurudeen Adesiyan and Kehinde Akintunde, by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The duo was reportedly apprehended in the early hours of November 29, 2024, at Arowosola Quarters, Ajape, leaving family members and residents in shock.
The families of the arrested lovers have raised the alarm over their continued detention and lack of communication since the incident.
According to Boyenle Adesiyan, the elder brother of Nurudeen, efforts to locate the pair have been futile as DSS officers have allegedly refused to disclose their whereabouts.
“My brother sent me a text around 5 am, informing me that security men were at our house, but I haven’t heard from him since then,” Boyenle told The Punch.
Recounting the incident, Boyenle stated that the DSS operatives arrived at their house with four vehicles and seized the phones of family members before demanding the identity of “Kehinde 2,” whose name appeared in the call log of their mother’s phone.
Unknown to the operatives, Kehinde, Nurudeen’s fiancée, was in the house at the time and was subsequently arrested alongside Nurudeen.
