The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, who made this known in a statement, said the suspect abducted a 3-year old boy in his neighbourhood.

He said the suspect attempted to hide him in his friend’s residence situated at Hotoro bye-pass in Kano State but upon suspecting foul play, the friend refused to keep the boy in his custody and decided to alert residents where the suspect lived at Rimin Kebe who had been looking for the missing boy.

According to him, “This development led the suspect to run away and he was later picked up by personnel of the Corps Ungogo division.

“Worthy of note is that the suspect had in the last two months collected the victim’s fathers phone number but never called him for once,” SC Abdullahi said.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, however, revealed that the investigation into the case has reached an advanced stage and upon conclusion, the suspect will be charged to court.
