Register with Osun govt for protection as practitioners, O-Signage tells advertising agencies

Osun State Signage Hoarding And Advertising Agency, Rock Tof Media Consultant and intellectual scopes held its maiden edition of stakeholders meeting with 3rd party advertising practitioners in the state with an appeal to ensure their businesses registrations are domiciled in the state government’s files to protect their professions as practitioners.

In her welcome address, Director of operations, Mrs. Bukola Aderibigbe, charged them to let the relationship continue between them and the state government.

The Chief executive officer of Rock Tof media, an Osun State signage consultants who have the mandate of the Osun state government to collect revenue for both 1st and 3rd party advertisement and signage and to ensure best practices within the signage and advertisement landscape, Mr. Tony Awobode, made these appeals at the gathering held at the state government house annex in Osogbo.

He also advised them to perfect all their advertising businesses in the agency’s databases, by perfecting their records and submit necessary certification to distinguish them as advertisement practitioners and not quacks .

Speaking further, the Chief executive officer who oversees Osun central Senatorial district and some local governments like Iwo, Ejigbo, Egbedore and Ayedire in Osun West Senatorial district, warned that “Illegal structures will not be tolerated. Enforcement will be out and we will enforce.

In their responses, the practitioners who spoke through Mr. Adelabu Dare, charged the state government to find a solution to the disturbances of members at different locations where they erect their billboards.

They argued that area boys usually tear their billboards after billing them outrageous prices that they might not be able to pay before erecting billboards.

The practitioners also appealed to the agency not to be a direct competition but to  remain regulators and noted further that,100 percent of on-front payment for billboard structure should be reviewed going by the present economy of the country.

In her closing remark, the director operations of O signage promised to look into the issues raised and promised continued interactions while charging advertising practitioners to be uptight on specified and proper information and ensure prompt payment on their accounts and anticipating improved revenue for both stakeholders.
