JUST IN : NLC Declares Two -day warning Strike

Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has issued the order to 52 constituing bodies to commence a two-day warning strike which will begin on Tuesday, September 5.

The warning strike is to protest the failure of the federal government to address the challenges Nigerians are facing as a result of the removal of the fuel subsidy.

The Congress threatened to go on an indefinite shutdown of the nation after the two-day warning strike if the federal government fails to take steps to address the mass suffering being faced by Nigerians.

NLC president, Comrade Joe Ajaero disclosed this today while addressing reporters at the end of the National Executive Council meeting of the Congress.

The congress also berated the Federal Government for interfering in the affairs of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), saying it would do everything to resist such undue interference.
