PDP Crisis:Babayemi Campaign Org Commends Police, Urges Adeleke to Caution Supporters
Omooba Dotun Babayemi Campaign Organization has commended the Osun State Police Command for averting what could have snowballed into a large scale crisis in the state.
Also,the organization through its media office, urged the state governor,Senator Ademola Adeleke,to caution his supporters not to plunge the state into crisis through constant harassment, bullying and attacks on supporters of Omooba Dotun Babayemi.
The Police in the state had arrested and detained the Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Transport Pool, Alhaji Rasaq Oyetunji, the Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Wasiu Orimadegun and the Youth Leader of the party, Biodun Ojewale,both of Ward 10, Olorunda Local Government area of the state , for physically assaulting Comrade Shakiru Temitope Olalekan, a supporter of Babayemi in Oba-Oke at the weekend.
The attack said to have been carried out by about 20 men at the behest of the Special Assistant, led to the sustenance of various degrees of injuries by the victim, Comrade Olalekan.
In a press release by the Media Office of the Babayemi Campaign Organization on Wednesday, commended the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Patrick Kehinde Longe and his men at the Anti-Cultism Unit for their professionallism in handling the case.
Meanwhile, the campaign body has called on its supporter across the state to continue to be law-abiding and never to take laws into their hands under whatever guise.
