APC Chairman Arrested For Allegedly Raping, Impregnating Housegirl
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested the 56-year-old chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Roni Local Government Area, Saleh Idris for allegedly raping his housegirl.
The spokesman of the Jigawa State Command of the NSCDC, CSC Adamu Shehu confirmed the arrest in a statement.
He said the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, following a complaint lodged by the victim’s brother that the suspect raped and impregnated his 14-year-old sister who was a house help at the suspect’s residence.
According to a report by the victim’s brother, the case was reported at NSCDC Roni LGA Division after a failed agreement reached at the Hisba office on taking responsibility. Instead, he was pressuring the family to abort the pregnancy.
However, the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Jigawa State, has suspended the party’s chairman in Roni Local Government.
It was gathered that a 56-year-old man, Saleh Idris was arrested for allegedly raping his housegirl.
That your act contravened section 21.2 (viii) and (x) of the APC 2022 Constitution as amended and that there is a need for further investigations.
