It was learnt that the fire destroyed parts of the operational building of the national television station.
The authority in a post via its X handle on Sunday confirmed the fire outbreak which lasted for hours before it was put out.
The fire that gutted parts of the operational building of the NTA Sokoto network centre has been put out by the combined efforts of staff and the intervention of firefighters.
The OB Van, equipment and office furniture have also been saved from the inferno.
The inferno which lasted for more than three hours is now under control and has not affected the studio, equipment and other sensitive operational areas,” the post read in part.
A preliminary investigation by engineers reportedly revealed that the fire might have been a result of high electricity voltage.
