Reacting to the video, a social media user named Santaclaws: revealed that selling noodles in nylon like this has been in the market for long as I can remember, same way they sell broken/deformed ice cream cones… It’s usually students that buy and eat them as snacks.

Adding that Some of these are leftover products from the factories that produce them and some are from distributors who discard damaged noodles that way.

The above isn’t to deny that lots of Nigerians are passing through hardship during this period, it’s just to shed more light on it as it’s not a new development.
