The Osun Osogbo festival votary maid (Arugba Osun), Osuntomi Ewatomilola Omolara, is now married, after 12 years, of playing a prominent role in the Osun Osogbo festival
Rumour had swelled before this year’s festival that this year’s would be the last that would be performing the duty as the votary maid (Arugba).
According to pictures of the former votary maid alongside her husband posted on social media.
The former votary maid (Arugba) performed the duty for 12 years.
She was a Junior Secondary school student when she first carried the sacred calabash.
Meanwhile, Netizens congratulated the new couple after their photos were shared online.
Adherents and lovers of the Osun Osogbo will now be eager to know who the next votary maid (Arugba) will be.
