Politics: Inisa Agog As Osun APC Welcomes Lagos-based Popular Entrepreneur, Teleola Oyegoke with fanfare
...My declaration for APC is divine - Teleola* ... APC ready to takeover govt 2026 - Lawal, Oyedokun, Bello, others
The ancient town of Inisa in Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun was agog as the Lagos-based renowned entrepreneur, Teleola Michael Oyegoke formally declared his intention and joined the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State.
Teleola attributed his decision to join the ruling party in the country to the monumental achievements recorded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the existing peace and orderliness reigning in the party.
This is even as the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal; former Deputy Governor, Mrs Grace Titilayo Ponle; former Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico, Hon. Adejare Bello; former House of Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye; APC Elders, Chief Shuaibu Oyedokun; Comrade Poju Odusola; Peter Babalola; Pa Gbadebo Ajao; Prince Adebayo Adeleke and among others, reaffirmed the APC determination to return to government in 2026.
Addressing the mammoth crowd of the APC chieftains and supporters while receiving the APC flag, at Oja-Popo square, Inisa, Teleola said he was determined to work in unison with leaders and members of the party to build a formidable frontier and ensure APC’s victory in the future elections particularly in the 2026 governorship election.
Teleola, popular called “TMO” acknowledged the warmth reception received from the leaders and members of the APC in the state which he described as a motivator and encourager to join the progressive family.
“Formally joining the progressive party today is a great thing for me because this is the party of the noble minds, party of true democrats and a party of people of honour, integrity, dignity and sanctity. I am happy to be identified and associated with the progressive family. My determination to formerly join this party is based on personal conviction. This is the party of who-is-who in Inisa, Odo-Otin and Osun state in general.
“If you look at the great things that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing currently particularly Tax Reform, you will know that he’s a man of vision. So, one would not but eulogize him and identify with his government and his party – the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“The good deeds of Mr president is a great challenge to Nigerian youths to buckle up and join the train of good governance being provided by the president. This is a motivation for us all to join the campaign train for good governance as President Tinubu is irrevocably committed at taking the country to the greater heights.
“As Youths, we cannot afford to leave our country in the hands of charlatans hence the need to give all to support the current government. It is time for us as youths to put in our very best and collaborate with the current government to take the country to enviable height ever known in history.
“So, my advice is for our party members to remain united and steadfast by continuously engaging in things that would further help to advance the cause of the party and lead us to victory come 2026 as we are resolute to wrestle power from the PDP-led government in Osun”, he added.
Earlier, the APC State Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, hailed Teleola for being decisive to join the APC in the state. He said the party organs across strata would do everything to support all in a bid to collectively advance the progressive cause in the state.
“As you can see, we are doing a naming ceremony of a new born baby today. Having a young man like Teleola in our fold is worthy of celebration, and I want to assure that our party would continue to ensure a level-plain-ground for all to thrive as we are prepared and ready to wrestle power from the incumbent government come 2026”, Lawal affirmed.
Corroborating the Chairman’s statement, APC Leader, Chief Shuaibu Oyedokun, described Teleola’s declaration as a welcome development.
Chief Oyedokun, the former Deputy National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, noted that the declaration was a testament to the fast acceptance and emergence of the party across the nooks and crannies of the state as the party remains resolute to build a formidable frontier.
In their separate remarks, former Osun Deputy Governor, Mrs. Grace Titilayo Ponle; former Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico, Hon. Adejare Bello; former House of Assembly Speaker, Timothy Owoeye; former Chief of Staff to the Governor, Elder Peter Babalola; APC Stalwarts, Comrade Poju Odusola; Pa Gbadebo Ajao and Prince Adebayo Adeleke reaffirmed the party’s readiness to take over power from Governor Ademola Adeleke come 2026.
