Adeleke, PDP In 2026, APC has no comeback – Osun PDP Boasts
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Osun state chapter has reaffirmed that Gov. Ademola Adeleke will defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) again in 2026.
Hon. Sunday Bisi, the Osun PDP Chairman, stated this during the annual inter-religious prayer held at the Party’s Secretariat in Osogbo on Monday.
According to him, “We must remind ourselves that we defeated them in 2022 because they failed the people while in Government, with his performance, I have no doubt he will defeated them again In 2026”
He urged Governor Adeleke to remain focused on his vision for Osun state, shunning all unproductive distractions from opposition elements.
Hon Bisi said; ” We commend his Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke for his tireless efforts in reshaping our State,his commitment to infrastructure development, education and human capital development is truly commendable,from constructing and rehabilitating roads to providing affordable and accessible healthcare in each of the 332 wards, prioritizing welfare of the workforce. His administration has made made incontrovertible strides and has made us proud as party.”
The Chairman charged all party members to continue to embrace the spirit of unity, love, and cooperation that has brought the PDP thus far.
He said: ” As PDP Ambassadors let our actions be guided by principle of justice, equality and fairness, I task our leaders to brace up for the task ahead, for the local government election, we must campaign across nook and cranny of Osun engaging with people and sharing our vision at the grassroots for better Osun.
Speaking at the event, Osun State Deputy Governor Prince Kola Oyewusi urged party members to go back home and work hard for victory in the forthcoming election to back up the prayers.
Prince Oyewusi equally appealed to PDP members to keep supporting the administration of Gov. Adeleke and party leaders from the state, local, and ward levels with prayers to succeed.
In his remarks, former Osun state governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola thanked God for disappointing the opposition party.
He said the opposition thinks Governor Adeleke won’t succeed, maintaining that God has destined Adeleke to lead Osun while praying that God won’t leave him.
Present at the event were the Speaker of Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Wale Egbedun, top government officials, party leaders, members, and clerics.
