Osun Lawmaker assure constituents of robust leadership
The legislator representing Obokun State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi, has assured students in his constituency of a robust leadership with the emphasis on the welfare of the people.
He stated this while hosting the Obokun Students Union Excos and the Indigenous Student Presidents from each ward of Obokun State Constituency, who paid him a courtesy call in Osogbo.
Adeyemi acknowledged the roles and importance of the young people in the growth and development of a society.
According to him, “These young minds represent the leadership of indigenous youth groups in our constituency of which I am also a proud member.
“They represent a larger part of the active, resilient and hardworking youths that populate our constituency.
“Being a former student union leader myself, it was indeed a great honour for me as I hosted these brilliant minds who were on a courtesy visit to appreciate our works for women, youths and children and to discuss profitable ways that would make life easier for all especially the students.
“The visit also afforded us the opportunity for one-on-one interaction and exchange of ideas. I thank them for their precious time and appreciate their love for growth, progress and prosperity.”
In his remarks, the President of Obokun Students Union, Elijah Oyewole, lauded the lawmaker for the prioritizing welfare of his constituents.
He also commended him for efforts towards the development of the constituency, noting that the constituents would continue to support Adeyemi for a more development-oriented leadership.
