17-year-old wins ‘Face of 9ja’ Beauty Pageant

A student of Babcock University, Stephanie Alfred, has emerged the winner of the ‘Face of 9ja’ beauty pageant after beating 19 other contestants.

The competition took place at the Badagry theatre in Lagos on Sunday.

Alfred, who is a 17-year-old and hails from Delta State won a cash prize of N200, 000 and other prizes while the first runner-up, Anuoluwapo Awe and second runner-up, Memunat Amino, went home with other prizes, NAN reports.

According to NAN, the Chief Executive Officer of 9ja Beauty Model, Sarah Ojehonmon said the contest is aimed at showcasing the beauty of Nigeria’s culture as well as its greatness, religion and ethnicity while revealing that the pageant is not gender-based.
