Actress Omowunmi Dada got engaged to her heartthrob
Omowunmi Dada is a popular Nigerian actress, voice-over artist, humanitarian, presenter and a model.
She was born on October 2, 1989 in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria. She is currently 33 years old.
Omowunmi Dada attended her primary and secondary school education at Ifako International Nursery and Primary School where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. After completing her primary school education, she proceeded to Command Day Secondary School, Oshodi, where she obtained her West African Senior School Certificate.
After completing her primary and secondary school education, Omowunmi Dada proceeded to the University of Lagos and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Arts.
Omowunmi Dada started her acting career while still in the University. She joined the Nigerian movie Industry also known as Nollywood professionally in 2013 and acted in her first role in a movie titled “Oya”
In 2017, she featured in the critically acclaimed stage production, Isale Eko.
In December 2017, she was nominated as the Best Actress for the Year in Nigeria by award-winning Nigerian filmmaker and critic, Charles Novia.
In 2018, Omowunmi Dada was cast in the titular role of Sade, in Nigeria’s first full-feature length Animation movie titled SADE which was set for release in 2019.
In 2021, she played the role of an investigative journalist, Halima Abdul in the Psalm Oderinde directed short film Rebirth, produced by Chris Odeh.
At the 8th edition of Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2022, she won the Best Supporting actress category for the movie “Country Hard”.
On December 26, 2022, Omowunmi Dada announced her engagement via her Instagram page.
Omowunmi Dada in the course of her acting career has acted alongside top Nollywood actors and actresses like Kunle Afolayan, Gabriel Afolayan, Nancy Isime, Kate Henshaw, Ramsey Nouah, Genevieve Nnaji, amongst others.
She has acted in movies like Ojuju, The Gods Are Still Not To Blame, The Antique, Somewhere in the dark, Omugwo, etc.
