Adeleke felicitates with Muslims on Hijrah

The Osun State Governor-Elect, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has congratulated the Muslim Ummah, particularly in the State, on the auspicious occasion of the New Year Hijrah 1444 AH, which begins today.

In a statement personally signed by him on Friday, July 29, 2022 coinciding with the commemoration of Hijrah 1444 AH, Senator Adeleke described the first day of Muharram as symbolic to the Islamic faith, urging Muslim faithfuls to use the occasion to seek the face of Almighty Allah in overcoming our challenges as a nation.

Adeleke said, “Hijrah represents the prevalence of light over darkness in the Islamic world, it also mark a transition to better place and movement to an environment that is more favourable and more conducive to the message of Allah Subhanahu watahala, making it most significant in the lives of Osun People especially at this period of transition to a new administration in Osun State.

“Therefore, Osun people can be rest assured that my government will be  better experience than what obtains presently because there is comfort after much sacrifice.

“Hijrah (immigration to Medinah), no doubt, was a defining moment for Islam, because it marked the miraculous victory of the divine religion named by Allah for mankind.

“It is on that note that I congratulate the Muslim Ummah in Osun State and beyond on this occasion and pray that the great experience it symbolises reflects on our lives and endeavours.”

Adeleke enjoined people of the State to be optimistic about the incoming administration, saying he remains committed to alleviating the pains of the people and bettering their lives.
