Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru, The State Secretary of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed his gratitude to former state Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the former APC state chairman, Oba Gboyega Famodun, the Owa of Igbajoland, the Igbimo Agba, the current party chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, other chieftains and members of the APC for their presence during the burial of Mr Oguntunde Akinwola Akinlawon, a chieftain of the party in Iwo Local Government Council Area of the state.
The news of the demise of Akinlawon who was the APC House of Assembly candidate for Iwo State Constituency was reported in the early hours of Sunday.
Speaking on behalf of the party members and leaders in his community, The Osun State APC secretary who stated that he appreciate the tremendous support in prayers, in kind and in presence by the APC family members in Iwo during the burial of Akinlawon.
Speaking further, he disclosed that it is on record that several consolation messages were received from the friends and well-wishers of the deceased.
The remains of Akinlawon were laid to rest with the presence of those in attendance from all the wards making up the local government council with leaders, members and supporters of the APC from across the state.
Alao said that it was a pity that Akinlawon bid the world a farewell in a time when he should have just started engaging more in the party.
He was full of gratitude to Alhaji Oyetola and the immediate-past Speaker of the state House of Assembly, the Right Honourable Timothy Owoeye, who were ably represented by the party’s Osun-West Senatorial Chairman, Prince Akintola Omolaoye, at the burial of the deceased.
Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru, prayed that the party will not witness the death of the young ones and also in our communities at large.
