APC in the UK elects new executives
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United Kingdom (UK) has elected new executive members to lead the party for the next four years.
A statement by the Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ajisola, described the election as a reflection of the acceptance of the new leadership. He added that the executives would do everything to promote the party’s ideals, and also give the best of leadership that is required.
He added: “The newly-elected APC UK executives, under the Chairmanship of Tunde Doherty, would bring their wealth of experience and record of excellence to this role.
“Doherty has been an active and influential member of our community, known for his unwavering commitment to the principles and values of the APC. His leadership qualities, strategic vision, and ability to unite and inspire people have been evident throughout his career.
“As chairman, Doherty has also outlined a clear and ambitious vision for the APC-UK, and his priorities are to strengthen party unity, foster a spirit of inclusiveness and collaboration within the party, and also ensure that all members feel valued and heard.
“The new leadership is ready to engage the Diaspora Community. We plan to enhance our engagement with the Nigerian community in the UK, creating platforms for meaningful interaction and contribution to the development of both the UK and Nigeria.
“We will also advance policy advocacy, focusing more on advocating for policies that benefit our community, promote economic empowerment, educational advancement, social justice, as well as encourage grassroots Participation.
“We will also work on strengthening UK-Nigeria relations, leveraging the strengths of the diaspora to contribute to Nigeria’s growth and development. We are confident that under Doherty’s leadership, APC-UK will continue to grow and thrive, making significant contributions to our community and beyond. His vision and dedication will undoubtedly guide us towards achieving our collective goals.”
Ajisola also thanked the party’s National Chairman Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Secretary Dr. Ajibola Basiru, and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) for their contributions to making the election successful.
Other members of the executive are Dr. Bonat Dauda (Deputy Chairman, North); Olumuyiwa Adesua (Deputy Chairman, South); Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro (Secretary); Ayokunle Agunbiade (Deputy Secretary); Susan Jegunmah (Woman Leader); Hajia Mariam Muazu (Deputy Woman Leader); Hajia Sekinat Adams (Youth Leader) and Tunmise Ajiboye (Deputy Youth Leader).
Others are Bernard Doro (Financial Secretary); Alhaji Ganiu Adejumo (Deputy Financial Secretary); Yemi Kolawole-Taiwo.
