Army Retrieves 14 Mutilated Corpses of Military Personnel in Delta State
Soldiers under the command of Major General Jamal Abdussalam from the joint task force recovered fourteen deceased soldiers’ bodies in Okuama community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The grim discovery was made early on March 16, 2024. According to reports from Channels TV, the Soldiers were brutally killed, some beheaded, and others with their stomachs and hearts removed.
Sadly, among the deceased, the commanding officer and two majors were found floating near the NDDC jetty, while the rest were found on land.
In response, the 6th Division Nigerian Army, headquartered in Port Harcourt, has sealed off communities in Bomadi and Ughelli South, with support from the 63rd Brigade in Asaba, the capital of Delta state.
Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the killing of the four senior officers and twelve other soldiers.
