Osun Assembly Fixes Date for Public Hearing on Communal Crisis Management Peacebuilding Bill
The Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Eight Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, has announced May 7th, 2025, as the date for a public hearing with stakeholders on the Osun State Communal Crisis Management and Peacebuilding Bill 2025.
Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun disclosed this during the sitting of the House today, 15th April 2025.
Recall Daily Impact reported that the policy thrust of the bill, which is a sponsored bill by Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi IREKANDU, was presented to the House at plenary on 14th of April, 2025.
The bill sets to establish a procedure in the State that will aid communal crisis management and peacebuilding.
The bill is said to curb and prevent crises from happening between communities within the State.
In another development, the House dissolved into the Committee of the Whole to make amendments and contributions on the Osun State Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshot Bill.
