BREAKING: Tribunal To Air Judgement Live

The Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, (tribunal) sitting in Abuja, will on Wednesday, deliver judgment on petitions seeking to nullify President Bola Tinubu’s election, and the judgement will be aired live.

The Chief Registrar, Court of Appeal HQ, Umar Bangari, stated this in a statement while disclosing the date for the judgment on the matter.

The two petitions, marked CA/PEPC/05/2023 and CA/PEPC/03/2023, were brought before the court by a former Vice President and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as well as the candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi, respectively.

According to the report only accredited persons, including counsel and representatives of political parties, would be granted access to the courtroom on judgment day.

Meanwhile, access to the Court premises will be strictly on accreditation. Only accredited individuals, including Counsel and representatives of Political Parties, will be granted access to the courtroom.

The court said that the decision was to promote, transparency and openness and for Nigerians to watch.
