Buhari removes NDDC administrator

President Muhammadu Buhari has removed the acting administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Effiong Okon Akwa.

Justifying his disengagement, the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Thursday, disclosed that the administrator’s removal came following the conclusion of his engagement with the commission.

Akwa was appointed acting administrator of the commission for the duration of the forensic audit into the operations of the NDDC.

The president also approved a new Management Team and Governing Board of the NDDC constitution.

The names of the nominees for the new management team and Governing Board are to be transmitted to the National Assembly for approval.
