DSS Arrest Emergency Officials, For Selling Subsidy Palliatives in Nasarawa
The Department of State Services, (DSS) Nasarawa State, has arrested some Emergency Management Agency Officials who were caught selling palliatives meant for vulnerable citizens.
The suspects were alleged of selling the palliatives in the modern market in Lafia and other markets.
DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, in a statement said the service had recovered some of the items after an investigation into the matter.
Afunanya noted that similar operations were ongoing in other states of the federation.
According to the statement, Nasarawa State is not the only state where palliatives has been diverted and sold.
He, however, called on citizens who might have information on such incidents, in other states where palliatives are also being sold in their locations to report to security agencies.
