Election Tribunal: “Let the will of Osun people prevail” – Group caution parties involved
The Coalition For Good Governance In Osun State has called on all parties involved in the ongoing Election Petition Tribunal to be cautious, and also caution their followers, from making statements that could heat up the polity.
A statement signed by Adetayo Adegbemle for the coalition stated that It must be noted and said that the Average man on the streets are only desirous of good governance, and expecting their Government to lead them into prosperity.
The statement reads, “The People of Osun State are industrious, and this could be seen in the number of Small and Medium Scale Industries that operates everyday in the State Capital, and all other Major Cities in the State.
“It is prejudicial, and total disregard of the Law of Nigeria, for anyone to go about boasting that the Election Results will be upturned, and this will only continue to create unnecessary tension in the City.
“The interest, the voice, the will, and the commonwealth of the general people of Osun State should be the primary focus of all and sundry.
“While the everyone awaits the final judgement from the Election Petition Tribunal, we advise that all parties involved should hold their peace, and not continue to utter statements that could disrupt the peace of the State.
“Government is for the people of Osun State, and this is sanctum!
“The Will of the people is the Voice of God, and it must be allowed to prevail.”
