#FearlessInOctober Protesters Storm Street In Osun, Demand Subsidy Reversal
Protesters in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, took to the streets on Tuesday to express their grievances regarding the current economic hardships facing the country.
The demonstrators called on President Bola Tinubu to reverse the removal of fuel subsidies in an effort to curb the rising cost of living, including soaring food prices.
The protesters gathered at the popular Nelson Mandela Freedom Park at Old Garage before marching through major streets in the capital. Their route included Oke-Fia, Dada Estate, and Dele Yes Sir, passing along Oba Adesoji Aderemi Way toward the Ogo-Oluwa area and ending at the Olaiya flyover junction.
Throughout the march, participants sang various solidarity songs to emphasize their demands, while security operatives provided an escort to ensure that there was no breakdown of law and order.
