Fire razes 9 shops, destroy properties in Osun
An early morning fire has razed a row of 9 shops and destroyed properties worth millions of naira at Oja-oba area along Ibokun road in Osogbo.
The incident was said to have happened around 03:52am on Tuesday
Confirming the incident, Osun State Fire Service Public Relation Officer, Mr Adekunle Ibraheem said the incident was reported by Mr Muftau Oyedele
According to him, “Osun State Fire Service attends to early hour inferno that affected a row of nine (9) shops at Ibokun road, Oja Oba Osogbo.
“The fire was suspected to have started some hours before the men of Osun State Fire Service, Okefia Station were informed through one Mr Oyedele Muftau who visited our station at about 03:52Hrs.
“The fire had already destroyed properties worth millions of naira and buildings damaged before Fire Service were informed.
“However, quick intervention of the firemen who got to the scene 3 minutes after they were informed salvaged some properties as well as preventing further spread to the adjoining developments”.
