Funke Akindele solicits prayers at Celestial Church event

Actress, Funke Akindele, has solicited prayers at the annual gathering of Celestial Church of Christ members in Imeko, Ogun State.

Addressing the crowd while on a stage, Akindele, who is the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, first sang a song that she said was a favourite of hers.

In a video posted on Saturday on Facebook, Akindele said, “Anything we do we must put God first. We have to be must be well mannered. We must behave like those who wear white cloth. We have to behave like a ‘Celestial’ member.

“We must not forget our source. Don’t forget your God. God be with you. All I want is prayer. Keep praying for me.”
