Gov Ademola Adeleke come to our aid: Residents of Dagbolu Osogbo/Ikirun cries out: Blames Oyetola’s administration for the abandonment of Dagbolu Osogbo, Dagbolu Ikirun,Oba-Ile and Oba- Oke

Dagbolu Osogbo, Dagbolu Ikirun and Oba-ile and Oba-oke road is about 15.5 kilometers which serves three major towns.

The said road project was awarded by Aregbesola’s government with over all intention of ensuring seamless completion but it was later truncated by Oyetola’s government.

Come what may, Dagbolu Osogbo, Dagbolu Ikirun and Oba-ile/Oba-Oke roads need urgent and immediate attention in order to avert unpleasant circumstances.

Recall that Aregbesola’s administration had committed huge resources of the state towards fixing this road with basic aim of enabling farms produce coming from that axis gets to the consumers in the state capital and other part of the state before it was later frustrated and abandoned by Oyetola’s administration

The questions that readily comes to mind is that why is the project dragging this long because the said road was at the advanced stage only to discover that the contractors handling the roads was stopped Oyetola’s administration.

Investigations carried out by this reporter has it that though the drainage, culverts as well the stone based have been done only awaiting laying of asphalt so as to make it motorable and accesible for both motorists and commuters before the these efforts was truncated by Oyetola’s administration

However, the present state of the road is quite disheartening and devastating if one considered the level of deplorable condition of the road coupled with how past Aregbesola’s government had heavily spent the lean resources of the state on the said road and Oyetola government saw no reason to continue.

Journalist curiosity prompted this reporter to engage some of the leaders and residents just like the users of Dagbolu Osogbo,Dagbolu Ikirun and Oba-ile and Oba-oke roads.

Some of those who spoke lamented various forms of unbearable distress and agony they often experienced both during the raining and drying seasons.

In a chat with Baale of Dagbolu Osogbo who spoke through his representative Otun Baale, Chief Jelili Adegoke boamed economic and health havoc dwellers of the community are facing.

He said unless the road is timely fixed, residents of the community may not be prevented from the series of air borne diseases just as damages to the motors plying the road, a development which he noted has drastically affected influx of vehicular movements.

In his account, The Baale of Dagbolu Ikirun, Chief Dauda Adekunle expressed difficulty,in different phases, pains settlers of Dagbolu Ikirun have been witnessing.

He thereafter, called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to kindly come to their aid by lunching a timely intervention, towards salvaging an unimaginable distress facing the inhabitants of the community.

He similarly on behalf of residents of Dagbolu Ikirun appealed to Governor Ademola Adeleke to come to their rescue by fixing Dagbolu Ikirun and Oba-ile and Oba-oke road in order to ensure a seamless access for farms produce to get to its consumers in Osogbo.

Also speaking on behalf of youth and women, a youth leader of Dagbolu Ikirun and a trader as well as chairman of commercial motorcyclists in Dagbolu Ikirun Fatai Bello Jointly begged the talk and do governor ,senator Ademola Adeleke to help them addressing the roads.

According to the trio, people of the community are facing lots of challenges as a result of deplorable condition of the roads.

They explained that the said road is playing a pivotal role towards enhancing and promoting economic of the area , adding that since the road has been perpetually abandoned dated several years ago or thereabout, the development has severely has crippled business activities so much that transporters had partially deserted the roads due to problem orchestrated by the bad state of the road.

They thereafter expressed strong confident in the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke that the road would get properly and timely attention.

So long that Dagbolu Osogbo Dagbolu, Ikirun and Oba-ile and Oba-oke roads only awaits stone based, slight sand filling and asphalt, it is believed that the road would be motorable soon and they say they no iota of doubt to say that Governor Ademola Adeleke administration would earnestly get the roads completed.
