Minister, Sanwo-Olu, FAAN Commend NNPC, Shell, Immigration For Refurbishing E-Wing Of Lagos Airport
Lagos state government commends the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Shell Nigeria Exploration Production Company Limited (SNEPCO) and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to refurbish E-Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos has received commendations from the Federal and Lagos state governments, among other stakeholders.
The refurbishment of the facility, which included the installation of the state-of-the-art facility at the airport and handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), is part of the joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of the organisations at the airport.
The facility is to enhance and ensure seamless passenger facilitation at the airport.
Dr. Bunmi Tuni-Ojo; the Minister of Interior, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Lagos State Governor and Mr. Kabir Muhammed, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), all took turns to laud the oil companies over the weekend at the Lagos airport for their joint investment in the sector.
In his address at the commissioning of the project, Tunji-Ojo noted that what NIS had done was the manifestation of the reforms the present government had brought into the service.
Tuni-Ojo noted the era where government business was seen as a no man business was gone and reaffirmed that the new orientation, which he said was in-line with the President Bola Timubu mantra of ‘Renewed Hope,’ was to treat government’s business with the same vigour they would put into their personal businesses.
