Mother Accuses Babcock University of Cover-Up After Son Goes Missing

A woman identified as Mrs Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo has petitioned Babcock University over the sudden disappearance of her son, Oladipupo Siwajuola, alleging that the institution is shielding two students last seen with him.

According to Mrs Fijabi, her son went missing shortly after she dropped him off at school on April 27.

She claimed the school failed to provide meaningful updates on his whereabouts and had not taken any decisive steps regarding the two students—identified as Lampard and Tobi—who were last in contact with him.

“They told me he might still be within the school premises, that students sometimes roam about like that. But I asked them — What could you have done to my son that would make him run away?” she said.

“Can you explain why Lampard and Tobi, who were the last to see him, are being shielded? Why haven’t they been questioned thoroughly? Why are they being protected?”

Mrs Fijabi revealed that her son had returned to school to prepare for the JAMB exam after deciding to switch his course from Mass Communication to Property Law, which required him to restart from 100 level.

She added that Oladipupo had also requested a change of room due to difficulties with his roommates.

According to her, it wasn’t until Lampard was interrogated that she discovered that Oladipupo’s Wema Bank app had been downloaded on Lampard’s phone.

She explained that when she arrived at the school and they invited all of her son’s roommates, it was then she learned that Lampard is an off-campus student and that Lampard’s mother works at Babcock University.

She continued, “While I’m not entirely sure, I believe some people are threatening my son.”

She added that after making these discoveries, the school administration told her to go home.
