Olubadan: Olakulehin to inspect multimillion naira newly built palace
The Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin will on Thursday, June 13, inspect the multimillion naira newly built Olubadan palace, located at Oke-Aremo, Ibadan.
Olakulehin, together with Olubadan-in-council will be conducted round the newly built palace by leadership of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
The construction of the palace was undertaken by CCII.
Barring last minute change, Oba Olakulehin will be the first to use the newly constructed Ibadan palace.
Olakulehin would move to the new Ibadan palace after his installation ceremony at Mapo.
The facility, built few kilometers away from the old one at Oja’ba, would be commissioned by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Recall that governor Seyi Makinde at the final burial ceremony of late Oba Lekan Balogun acknowledge the receipt of the recommendation of Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan by the Olubadan-in-Council.
The governor said due process has been followed in the selection process, adding that Olakulehin will be enthroned as soon as he is strong enough for the processes.
The Oba Balogun died on March 14, 2024, aged 81.
