Every night, we are overwhelmed by gunshot sounds that drag the innocent people of the area out of their houses to nearby bushes in an attempt to escape the torture, beatings, and maiming from these heartless criminals.
This is a clarion call on the state government to urgently come to the rescue of Oron Local Government Area by readjusting the security arrangement of the area to restore peace and harmony which have alluded the area over time, Businesses paralyzed; affluent individuals relocate.
He disclosed that some criminals commandeered the waterways, thereby subjecting travellers and fishermen to undue torture and abduction for ransom. Oron is an oil-producing area in Akwa Ibom State; we have several fishing ports but criminals have made life unbearable for the inhabitants.
