OSHA appoints new caretaker chairman and vice of Ede North Local Government Areas
Osun State House of Assembly has confirmed Mr Amodu Taiwo and Oyekanmi Laide as the caretaker chairman and vice chairman of Ede North Local Government Area.
The confirmation of the duo was done following the nomination of Oyekanmi Laide and Amodu Taiwo by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Recall that a few days ago Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi who was the caretaker chairman of Ede North Local Government Area passed away.
It’s another day of business legislation where bills and report presentations were extensively debated.
Osun State Local Government Area Creation and Administration Amendment number 3 bill 2023 was deliberated upon during the committee of the whole.
Presiding over the committee as a whole before presenting the progress reports is the chairman Hon. Adewale Egbedun. The committee as a whole allowed him to accommodate observations, corrections and submissions of the members.
The chairman adjusted some impediment clauses towards the seamless passage of the bill thereby espoused spellings and other related errors.
Osun State High Court and customary court of appeal, registrars, Secretariat to the state Judicial Service Commission, solicitor general of the Ministry of Justice, state magistrates and district customary court presidents’ retirement age bill read for the second time.
Presenting its policy Trust, hon Kanmi Ajibola said the bill if given an accelerated passage would promote a sound justice system.
Other lawmakers who spoke on the bill include Honourables Abiola Awoyeye, Taofeeq Olayiwola, Ibrahim Abiodun and Adeyemi Tajudeen among others prayed for the timely passage of the bill.
In the the session, Osun State Road Urban and Rural Access Authority Bill 2023 sailed and Osun Road Funds Bill 2023 was read for the first time while the chairman House Committee on Innovation Science and Technology honourable Adewumi Adeyemi presented his oversight committee report.
