OSHA Resumes Legislative Duties, Delibrates on Letter from Gov Adeleke
The 8th assembly of the Osun State House of Assembly under the leadership of Speaker, Honourable Adewale Egbedun resumes legislative duties today with a call for more dedication and effort toward development.
The sitting of the plenary features the adoption of the report of Estate Agency Regulatory Bill 2024, letter from governor of the state; Sen. Ademola Adeleke, seeking to improve on the extant state of Osun public procurement law 2015 and Committe of Whole for further considerations of Osun State Fire Service Establishment bill 2024.
On the letter received from the governor, According to the letter: “I write the Honourable House of Assembly to forward Osun State Public Procurement bill 2024 that seeks to improve on the extant State of Osun Public Procurement Law 2015, and the amended counterpart to it both of which stand repealed at the successful passage of the bill”.
The report was adopted today during the plenary of the House with the motion moved by the Majority Leader; Hon. Babajide Kofoworola and seconded by the Deputy Majority Leader; Hon. Emmanuel Adekunle.
Similarly, the lawmakers dissolved into Committe of Whole for further considerations of Osun State Fire Service Establishment bill 2024.
While addressing his colleagues, Hon. Adewale Egbedun lauds his fellow lawmakers for their efforts so far on the development of the state. He noted that they should be more determined after the brief recess.
According to him, “there should be renewed determination, and let’s start the legislation with good minds. Let’s ensure to renew our strength and be more determined to foster peace and development in the state”, he added
In another development, the Chip Whip; Hon. Olawale Akerele in his personal explanation officially brought to the notice of the House of Assembly the demise of Owa Obokun and paramount of Ijesa land; Oba (Dr.) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran. Also, the lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency; Hon. Adeyemi Adewumi hinted the House the demise of Oba Oludele Falade Fatila, the Apetu of Ipetu-Ile in Obokun Local Government Area of the state.
