Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has tasked the new political appointees to brace up for the delivery of good governance.
Speaking at the swearing in ceremony for the Chief of Staff, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye and the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye, Adeleke described the new appointees as “worthy sons of Osun State” and strong members of the ‘Imole team’ with the best interest of the state at heart.
He urged them to be a team player, deploy their wealth of experience for the success of his administration and also strengthen the capacity and capabilities of his administration to deliver on his five point agenda.
“I task you to brace up to meet the challenges on ground. We are hitting the ground running by addressing a lot of complications we met on ground. It is your duty to be a team player and deploy your wealth of experience for the success of our administration”, the Governor noted.
Responding on behalf of other appointees, Hon Igbalaye assured the Governor of their readiness to support him in his strong desire to take Osun state to the promised land.
“We are committed to the faithful and successful implementation of the five point agenda” he said
The event was attended by top political and religious leaders as well as traditional rulers including the Deputy Governor of Osun State, Prince Kola Adewusi and Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun and many other dignitaries in the state.
Meanwhile, the Governor was hosted to an inter-faith service today at State Secretariat in Osogbo with hundreds of civil servants jubilating, singing and dancing for the new government of the state.
Clerics from the Christian and Muslim faiths took turn to pray for the Governor and the State just as various interest groups adorn in various colours partook in praising God.
Governor Adeleke who engaged the State civil servants directly at the occassion promised a government that is favourable to the public service.
According to the Governor, his administration will take workers’ welfare seriously , pointing to the Number One item on his five point agenda as the worker’s interest and conditions of service.
” I will be favourable to civil servants. You will enjoy my administration. We will be worker’s friendly in our polivies and actions”, the Governor concluded.
