Osun Assembly resumes plenary after Easter/Eid-il-Fitr break
The Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun has applauded his fellow Honourable for providing food palliatives to their constituents during the recent celebration.
The Speaker gave the applaud as lawmakers commence plenary on Tuesday after Easter/Ed-il-Fitr break, stating that their commitment to
the well-being of the constituents is admirable.
He expressed his deep appreciation for their dedcation and hard work in advancing the goals of the 8th Assembly.
As we proceed with our legislative duties, I trust that the selected House Committees who have
been diligently working on their assigned tasks are now ready to present their reports.
The speaker urged his colleagues to approach work with renewed determination, striving for progress and unity towards shared vision for the state.
Settling into the order of agenda for the day, Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission Amendment No 4 Bill 2024 was presented and the House dissolved into committee of a whole for further considerations.
The committee of a whole chaired by the speaker Rt Hon Adewale Egbedu gave reports to the house that amendments were done, and we’re also connected and the signature of the drafter was cancelled.
The motion for adoption of all the amendment on the Bill was moved by Majority leader, Hon Kofoworola Adewumi and Seconded by Hon Lawrence Adeoti.
Similarly, the Speaker allude to “Osun State Roads Fund Hill 2023” and the House
also dissolved into committee of a whole for further consideration.
All contributions, observations and
collaborations from the lawmakers, pages 12 and
3 was cancelled, page 4 was changed to page I and Osun State Roads Fund
Establishment Bill 2024 was inserted as the title.
The motion for adoption was moved by Majority leader, Hon Kofoworola Adewumi of Ede North State Constituency and Seconded by Hon Elisha Oderinwale representing Ayedire State Constituency.
The House adjourned till Wednesday, April 17th 2024.
