The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has declared the readiness of the state government to deepen implementation of Ease of Doing Business (EDB) to attract more investment into the state.
Speaking while commissioning the Golden Legacy Hotels at Iperindo-Ijesha on Sunday, Governor Adeleke said his government is committed to providing an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
“My government is working to adopt many stipulations in the National Ease of Doing Business policy. I have directed my team to study the policy and assess the position of Osun state in the ranking for ease of doing business. We will increase efforts to remove bottlenecks that may be hampering local investment”, the Governor promised.
While lauding the local investment drive of Mr Tunde Ayeni, the proprietor of the hotel, Senator Adeleke described local investment as “a demonstration of courage and love of one’s people”, adding ” I am an advocate of local investment.
“This is so because it is the best way to stimulate economic development. A bottom top approach is the most potent way to change the face of our community. The love of one’s town is considered a service to Almighty God. The commissioning of this hotel is therefore a challenge to us all to do more for our people and our communities.
“Let us set up businesses at home. By so doing, we expand economic opportunities. We create jobs and we help to combat poverty. When we are part of solution to poverty, we develop a law and order society”, the Governor admonished Osun people.
