Osun Online Publishers begin 2024 Media Week with social activities
The Osun Online Publishers Association, OOPA, has officially commenced 2024 Digital Media Week. The week begins with a press conference held at the Association’s office on Wednesday.
The event was led by the chairman, Mukhtar Ajelogbon, who outlined the week’s activities and emphasised journalistic integrity.
Addressing members of the media, Ajelogbon said, “I charge all new media practitioners to always reflect truthfulness, balance, and objectivity in their reports.
“These are the cornerstones of journalism. Avoid partiality in your stories and ensure you balance perspectives. False news has no place in credible reporting.”
In addition to the press conference, OOPA demonstrated its commitment to community service by visiting Abiye Orphanage Home in Osogbo, where they contributed to the welfare of the children.
The association also extended its efforts to Igbona Market, donating waste bins and brooms to promote cleanliness.
The 2024 Digital Media Week will continue on 5 December with a public lecture and an award ceremony recognising individuals who have excelled in their respective fields.
