The Osun state house of assembly clocks one years old with massive achievement and act of making so far Thirteen (13)Bills, Ten (10) Resolutions, Two(2) Public Hearings and Sixteen More Bills in the Pipeline for Further Consideration….
As the Osun State House of Assembly marked it first 365days in office, Thirteen (13)Bills have been passed, Ten (10) Resolutions made, Two(2) Public Hearings held and Sixteen More Bills in the Pipeline for Further Consideration.
The Number one Parliamentarian, RT. Hon. Adewale Egbedun made this known during the plenary while highlighting the achievements of the 8th Assembly within the first year of office.
The Speaker used the avenue to appreciate the Executive Governor of the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke for his continued support of the Legislative Arm of Government.
He reiterated that the support of all and sundry that the Assembly has received so far, had stemmed the fruitful deliberations and result seen so far, thereby, urging his fellow parliamentarians, staff of the Osun state House of Assembly and Citizens of the state, not to relent .
Some of the Parliamentarians present during the Plenary, Honorables: Abiola Awoyeye, Babajide Kofoworola, Olumide Fatunmise, Simeon Popoola and Lawrence Adeoti in their various remarks commended the leadership style of the speaker, as the transparency he exuded during the course of the year has been a unifying force for the 8th Assembly.
Meanwhile, the majority leader, Hon. Babajide Kofoworola presented two private member bills tagged, Osun State Consumer Protection Agency, Bill and Osun State Fire Service Establishment Bill, 2024 before the General Assembly for consideration.
