Oyo Students Protest After EFCC Storm Forestry Campus
The students of Oyo state have reportedly staged a massive protest at Oyo state Police headquarters, Eleyele after operatives of Economy And Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, stormed Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan.
According to multiple sources, the operatives of EFCC drove into the institution premises around 12 P.M.
A source said: “The EFCC brought someone to the hostel for investigation but unfortunately the person ran away. When I heard this, I told them to calm down, by then the gate of the college have already been locked.
”It took intervention of DSS to rescue them from the college premise.
Reacting to the incident, the Southwest Coordinator of National Association of Nigerian Students, Comr. Alao John, and the leadership of Oyo Joint Campus Committee (JCC) staged protest at the entrance of Oyo police headquarters to deposit their grievances.
