... Promises more road network, employment for graduates
A member-elect to represent Efon State Constituency at the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Honourable Bosede Olowookere of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has pledged to facilitate a booster radio station to her community now that she has been duly elected.
Honourable Olowookere was declared winner of Saturday election after having pulled a total of 6,386 votes to defeat her closet rival of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who got 1,029 votes in the poll.
She stated this while responding to questions from Journalists at her Efon country home on Saturday.
Speaking further, Olowookere promised to facilitate good road network, higher institution, employment for graduates, booster radio and Tv station that would make life worth living for her constituents.
“By the special grace of God, I shall use my office to lobby and facilitate the construction of the Alanaka / Ororo road that have been in bad state for long.”
She stated that she was optimistic that her leader, the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji would help the good people of Efon in this regard.
She however expressed her readiness to make case for a booster station to be established in Efon community for a better reception of the Ekiti State Television/Radio airwaves for Efon people to be able to listen and watch the State owned stations in her Constituency.
“With the State owned radio and television booster stations in Efon, my people would be able to tune into radio stations and know happenings in and outside the state”.
The Assembly member-elect stressed further that her Constituency was in dare need of higher institutions that would not only help in boosting the economy of the area but would bring influx of people to reside in the place.
“I shall make case for a good Higher Institution in Efon, because most of our people are farmers and they will want a situation where we will have something that can make most of the people stay more in the town because when they go the farm, maybe by Tuesday, they will not return until Saturday, this makes the town scanty sometimes”.
Olowookere promised her constituents empowerment and said she would ensure that her people get their share when government is doing employment, adding that she would give her total support to APC for good governance.
“On the issue of unemployment, it is a general problem. One of the things that I know for sure is that, ever since that our party had been in government, they normally employ people across the 16 local government areas of the State in which Efon is not excluded”, she concluded.
