Stray Bullet hit Passerby as Rival Osun Land Grabbers Clash in Osun
Clash between twoland-grabber groups over a bounty from a site developer has led to the death of a yet-to-be-identified passerby who was hit by a stray bullet.
According to reports, it was learnt that the groups have been clashing since Sunday around the Gbeemu and Balogun Agoro areas of Osogbo after a developer paid bounty to one of the group’s leaders.
The collection of the bounty infuriated the other group who felt they were in charge of the area where the construction was ongoing.
However, on Tuesday, during the clash, a passersby was killed by stray bullet at Balogun Agoro causing tension in the area.
Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident.
She said police operatives have been deployed to the area to restore law and order.
