Terry G Retires From Music
Famous Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, aka Terry G, says he is retiring from music.
In a post via Instagram on Saturday, the singer revealed that he is quitting music for personal reasons.
The musician thanked his fans for the career-long support he has received.
“I have to say a big thank you to my fans for staying true with me all these years back to back,” he said.
Widely known for his eccentric dress sense and controversial lyrics, Terry G has received several awards for his talent.
In 2023, he engaged the All Progressives Congress (APC) in an online outburst for allegedly failing to pay him for his campaign performances.
In 2020, he spoke about not landing endorsement deals because a negative image was cast on him.
“I looked like the baddest guy in Nigeria. Endorsement time came, nobody endorsed me. Nobody did anything all that time when Terry G was hot,” he had said.
