The cap fits him,” says Osun lawmaker Irekandu as PDP chair, Sunday Bisi receives the NUJ’s grassroots politician of the year

Lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi popularly known as Irekandu has congratulated Hon. Sunday Bisi, the Osun Chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on his award of excellence as the year’s most outstanding grassroots politician.

This was contained in a message personally signed by the lawmaker and made available to newsmen in Osogbo.

Adeyemi, who praised Sunday Bisi as an experienced and trustworthy politician of note, revealed that the award’s deferral would not come as a surprise to any notable politician in the state because the cap fits him (Sunday Bisi) well.

The 39-year-old lawmaker asserts that Sunday Bisi made a significant contribution to the party’s move from opposition to power.

He added that there was no political or social event that he did not attend. He visited every ward and felt at home there. He was tenacious, devoted, and focused on achieving electoral success. He was also strong, loyal, and determined during rallies. We simply cannot dissociate him from the victories the party achieved in recent polls as a result of his courage and superior managerial abilities.

Adeyemi described his party’s chairman as a strong-willed individual and added that he is pleased that the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council could honour him with an award for his contributions to the political advancement of the state.

The Nigerian Union of Journalists, Osun State Council was praised by the young architect for upholding the principles of honest journalism and for being a deserving participant in the growth and  and development of the state.
