Irekandu Back to School Project: Hon Adewumi Adeyemi Empowers Educational Opportunities In Obokun Constituency
In a remarkable demonstration of commitment to education, Hon. Adeyemi Adewumi, representing Obokun State Constituency, has again spearheaded the “Irekandu Back to School Project,” aimed at providing educational support to students and pupils within the constituency.
The initiative, which received commendation from the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has garnered praise for its dedication to enhancing academic standards in the region.
Speaking at the event held at the NULGE hall within the Obokun LG secretariat, Hon. Adeyemi Adewumi announced the disbursement of over N1.6 million towards the purchase of National Examination Council (NECO) forms for more than 40 students.
This move, part of the NECO Scholarship Scheme Support under the Irekandu Back to School Project, aims to facilitate educational opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged youths, including girls.
Speaking passionately about the initiative, Hon. Adeyemi Adewumi emphasized its goal of reducing the number of out-of-school children in the constituency while assisting vulnerable families in accessing educational opportunities. He stressed the vital role of education in combating poverty, fostering peace, and reducing crime rates in society.
